JTI Bids Farewell To Justice Chemutai

On Friday October 22, 2021, the staff of the Judicial Training Institute hosted Hon. Justice Tom Chemutai to a luncheon at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi to formally bid him farewell following his elevation.
Prior to his elevation, Hon. Justice Chemutai washed Registrar Research and Training at the Institute.
Hon. Lady Justice Damalie N. Lwanga, the Executive Director JTI, congratulated Hon. Justice Chemutai upon his elevation and applauded him for being so hard working and respectful to everyone including his subordinates.
"You have been a very pleasant person to work with and I pray that you maintain your work ethic wherever you go," she said.
The Judge then called upon staff to render the same support to the new Registrar in the execution of her mandate.
In her remarks, Hon. Lady Justice Damalie also intimated that the Institute has new training schedules with an enhanced budget allocation, this she said, called for hard work and teamwork to ensure improved output.
While delivering her congratulatory remarks, the Institute's new Registrar, HW Mary Kaitesi equally thanked the staff for the kind welcome since her deployment.
On his part, the new Resident Judge, Jinja High Court circuit appreciated the JTI family for the support rendered to him while at the Institute. He equally expressed gratitude for the gesture of celebrating his promotion.
At the same event, Justice Chemutai officially handed over the office Research and Training to the new Registrar.
He urged the JTI administration to address the staff and stakeholders concerns so as to restore the Institute to its former glory.
At the climax of the luncheon was cake-cutting and awarding of a gift to the celebrant which was presented by HW Gladys Kisekka Nakibuule, the Deputy Registrar - Research.
